Financing a Dutchess Day School Education

Our goal is to provide the finest elementary school education for all students.  In an effort to keep our program affordable, we set our tuitions annually, based on our expenses.

 

Contracts for newly accepted families in grade K-8 are mailed in March and subsequent applications are considered on a space-available basis. New preschool families will receive their contracts on a rolling basis as they complete the application and screening process.

 

Half of the tuition is to be paid by June 15th and the other half by December 1st.   Please note that the 10% enrollment deposit will be deducted from the December 1st payment.

 

2012-2013 Tuitions

 

Preschool - 3 year old - half day	$ 4,700
Preschool - 3 year old - half day (inc. lunch)	$5,000
Preschool - 4 year old - half day	$ 7,500
Preschool - 4 year old - extended day	$2,500
Kindergarten - Fourth Grade	$ 19,000
Fifth Grade - Eighth Grade	$ 21,980

 

Books, art supplies, lab supplies, yearbooks, and daily hot lunches are included in the tuition. Dutchess Day School offers a tuition insurance plan through the Dewar Company.  

 

An activity fee is charged annually to cover the cost of field trips, special grade level projects, and the Parents’ Association fee which covers parent events.  This fee is added to the December billing.  Optional After School Program and the Athletic Program fees are billed each session.   

 

Public school districts are obligated to provide bus service for families living within 15 miles of Dutchess Day School.  The Application deadline is April 1st.  Families living outside the 15 mile limit may also be able to obtain public school bus service if there are other families in the district already being bused.
