In a heartwarming conclusion to a lesson on friendship, first grade students in our wellness class were given the opportunity to put their learnings into practice. Each student received a piece of paper with the name of one of their classmates, along with the task of creating a personalized friendship card for that individual. This activity allowed students to reflect on the qualities they appreciate in their peers and express their gratitude for their classmates` camaraderie.

Last Friday, our school community came together for a fun community event that showcased the fruits of our students` hard work and interdisciplinary learning: the 2nd annual Great Paper Airplane Challenge! Throughout the week, students from pre-K to 8th grade delved into the fascinating world of aerodynamics and flight stability, designing and folding paper airplanes in a hands-on exploration of scientific concepts. Their efforts culminated in an exciting competition where the top fliers from each grade put their creations to the test, vying for the title of farthest-flying airplane. This collaborative event truly encapsulated the interconnectedness of various disciplines, including technology, science, arts, athletics, design, and engineering.

Our Upper School Student Ambassadors went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for their younger peers in the Lower School. The ambassadors organized a movie matinee, featuring the heartwarming Pixar classic, Ratatouille. The event was complete with popcorn, water, and buddies to cozy up with, making it the perfect way to end a chilly winter week.
It`s moments like these that remind us of the importance of fostering a sense of community and camaraderie within our school. We are incredibly proud of our students for creating such a special experience for their peers!

It was an amazing sight to see our seventh graders lending a helping hand to their younger fourth-grade peers during the eye dissection activity! This inter-grade collaboration not only provided a unique learning opportunity for the fourth graders but also allowed the seventh graders to showcase their knowledge and leadership skills.
